First Time Patients’
For clients new to my work, this is a great opportunity for us to get to know each other. This includes a brief intake and a 90 minute body work session for those interested in experiencing the best of what I have to offer, those who have established self care practices or for those in active pain from acute or chronic tension.
Nervous System Regulation
This work targets the somatic body, intentionally shifting the nervous system into a parasympathetic state, where deeper emotional and physical patterns can be discovered, addressed and unwound. Pressure is light, and may include rocking, shaking, and balancing holds. This work is intentionally created for more sensitive individuals who sometimes need a little less to get more out of bodywork.
Lymphatic Drainage
For athletes, post op surgery patients in recovery and desk workers alike this modality is great for reinvigorating the body through lymphatic system. Muscle tightness, joint stiffness, headaches, sinus issues: all of these benefit from the specific and precise nature of lymphatic work. Targeting the lymphatic system allows the body to more efficiently and effectively move and get rid of the foreign particles and toxins that can build up from chronic tension. All sessions will include an element of lymphatic drainage, but as far as deep relaxation and immune system support, there is nothing better that a 75 minute lymphatic drainage session.
Sports Massage for Athletes
Working with the lateral, frontal and diagonal lines of the body, we use active, passive and visual assessments to establish a baseline for what moves well and what doesn’t, in the body. Like a carpenter we look for and hope to establish balanced force distribution through the structure to ensure that no other elements and systems are effected by any asymmetries in the alignment of the body. This is great for those lifelong students who want an active role in their fitness and self care, who hope to not only learn exercises that are precise and unique, but tools that will contribute towards self dependence and a deeper understanding of how their own body is held in space.
Shiatsu/Acupressure
Targeted work aimed at releasing chronic tension related to muscle adhesions, with rocking, shaking pressure points and passive joint mobilization.
Great for those with chronic stress, or pain and who prefer a fully clothed massage on a mat. Grounding, calming for the nervous system and consistently benefits clients by releasing immobile joints and knots in those hard to reach places. If you like deep pressure and deep relaxation, this is for you.
